Welcome to a visual and informative tour of Alamos, Sonora, Mexico.

This lovely and historic enchanted pueblo known as the City of Gates features colonial charm nestled among the verdant mountains of the Sierra Madre in Southern Sonora.

Alamos is known as a relaxing tourist destination filled with amazing sights, tastes and experiences. It is also home to a community of American and Canadian expatriates who fell in love with the place and decided to live here.

Originally established in the late 1600’s during a boom following the discovery of silver in the area, the town flourished until the silver had apparently run out, and was nearly abandoned until a resurgence in popularity in the early 1900’s.

Since then, it has become a favorite destination for travelers as a place to unwind in its pleasant atmosphere while participating in one of the multitude of enriching experiences available here.

We invite you to visit us often, as we add more images and information about this truly unique Sonoran getaway.
